Through the FDIC’s Money Smart program, Citizens State Bank brings engaging, age-appropriate financial lessons to local schools and organizations. Members of our Financial Literacy Team lead interactive sessions tailored to each grade level or age group.

Younger students learn the basics — understanding currency, earning money, recognizing needs vs. wants, setting financial goals, and the concept of borrowing.

Older students explore more advanced topics like budgeting, saving, investing, charitable giving, career choices, and making smart spending decisions.
Each session is built around real-world, relatable examples so students, young adults, and adults can connect what they learn to their lives and everyday experiences.
